Marie Smit is the Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for both the SynCure Cancer Research Foundation and the MDS Research Foundation. Ms. Smit graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and joined FSU in 1990. In 1995, she joined the Department of Chemistry as Coordinator of Research Programs and Services. She previously served as the Coordinator of Administrative Services for the Institute of Molecular Biophysics.
