To Benefit The SynCure Cancer Research Foundation
On July 25th, PSS (Physician Sales & Service, Inc.) conducted their first annual charity golf tournament to benefit the SynCure Cancer Research Foundation. The 'sold-out' event was conducted at one of New Jersey's premier golfing venues, the Crestmont Country Club in West Orange, New Jersey.

Over twenty-five foursomes thoroughly enjoyed a spectacular day featuring a buffet luncheon, golf, cocktail hour and an gourmet dinner. Participants universally praised the course, the food, the club's staff and the efficient manner in which the event was conducted.
The event honored Dr. Murray F. Brennan, Chairman, Department of Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Brennan is recognized as the nation's premier surgical oncologist and holds the Benno C. Schmidt in Clinical Oncology at Sloan-Kettering. He is a Director of the American Board of Surgery, Chairman of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, President of the Society of Surgical Oncology, President of the American Surgical Association (the oldest and most prestigious surgical association in the nation) and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgery of England and Scotland. A substantial portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering as a research grant in honor of Dr. Brennan.

The event co-chairmen, Dan Denenberg of PSS and Steve Roman of SynCure, were extremely pleased with the event's individual and corporate support. Twenty-six corporations supported the tournament via donations and or participating golfers thereby assuring the tournament's financial success. Planning is underway for next year's tournament. In addition, Dan and Steve recognized the vital contribution of the volunteers who helped make the tournament a reality.
